About the event
Discover how Newfoundland and Labrador producers can turn winter feeding into a climate-smart, soil-building strategy. Bale grazing is a cost-effective, low-labour practice that enhances soil health by returning organic matter and nutrients directly to the land. When bales are placed in a pasture they allow livestock to graze in stages, producers improve water-holding capacity and extend time on pasture — all while conserving inputs. This approach mirrors the benefits of rotational grazing BMPs and is especially well-suited to NL’s short growing season.
If you are curious to see it in action? Join us for a hands-on demonstration and learn how bale grazing can work for your operation.
