About the event

❄️🚁 Frost Seeding with Drones — Knowledge Transfer Workshop

Join us April 1st and 2nd for a hands-on Knowledge Transfer Workshop exploring how drones can make frost seeding faster, easier, and more precise. Research shows drones can evenly broadcast seed over frozen or uneven ground—an effective method for establishing early cover crops.

Good news: Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada provides funding through On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) for farmers adopting beneficial management practices (BMPs) like cover cropping, and drone seeding directly supports this practice.

We’ll have a drone operator who supplies agricultural drones and can provide equipment support and answer your questions about using drones for seeding.
