Project Objective
To evaluate the effectiveness of different rates of polymer-coated urea on the growth, nitrogen (N) uptake, yield, and quality of potatoes cultivated in western Newfoundland.

Project Objective

This study aims to develop a model that utilizes computer vision to predict nitrogen (N) levels in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.)  crops. Furthermore, it aims to create a mobile app that enables farmers to determine the nitrogen status of their potato crops in real-time, making advanced technology accessible and practical for effective crop management.

Project Objective

This project involves monitoring and assessing variability of SOM at different soil depths and times throughout the year under different soil moisture levels in forage and potato fields using an EMI sensor. The variability of ECa maps will also be used to determine the effects of beneficial management practices (BMPs) on C sequestration capacity in boreal podzolic soils in western Newfoundland.
